Problems from Powers

Calculate the following operations:

1) $$3^4$$

2) $$4^2 \cdot 4^3$$

3) $$\displaystyle \frac{6^8}{6^6}$$

See development and solution

Development:

1) $$3^4=3 \cdot 3 \cdot 3 \cdot 3=9 \cdot 3 \cdot 3=9 \cdot 9=81$$

2) $$4^2 \cdot 4^3=4 \cdot 4 \cdot 4 \cdot 4 \cdot 4= 16 \cdot 16 \cdot 4=16 \cdot 64= 1024$$

3) $$\displaystyle \frac{6^8}{6^6}=\frac{6\cdot6\cdot6\cdot6\cdot6\cdot6\cdot6\cdot6}{6\cdot6\cdot6\cdot6\cdot6\cdot6} = 6 \cdot 6=36$$

Solution:

1) $$81$$

2) $$1024$$

3) $$36$$
