How does Sangakoo work
The Sangakoo method is based on learning math by creating your own math problems.
It is quite simple. Choose the topic you are interested in, review the concept if necessary, create a complete and original exercise (statement, development and solution) and submit it from the corresponding category. Another user, learning the same topic at the same level as you, picks it up and validates it. At the same time you can pick up an exercise created by another user to validate it. Repeat as often as you wish. Just one rule applies: you must first submit an exercise before you can pick one up.
You can easily find the exercises in a structured topic list, and thus learn the math you are interested in.
Sangakoo lets you engage in conversations about math with peers based on corrections and revisions of exercises. The end result is a well-done exercise.
1 Choose a topic
Search the topic list to find the section, topic and level you are interested in, and from where you can submit your exercises.
To make your search easier you can use our search engine.
2 Create your exercise
The Sangakoo method is most effective if you create a complete exercise: Statement, Development and Solution.
Creating a complete exercise is easier than you think. Start with simple things and remember that you can always use the Sangakoo contents to help you in the process.
3 Submit your exercise
Once created, you can submit your exercise so another member of the Sangakoo community can pick it up and correct or validate it.
You can always consult the exercises you have submitted in your "Exercises / Sent" - box.
4 Pick up an exercise
Only after having submitted an exercise you can pick one up from another member of the Sangakoo community to correct or validate it. The exercises you can access have been submitted by other users working on the same topic and level as you.
5 Correct or Validate
After picking up an exercise, your task is to check it. If you would elaborate it in another way or find steps you think are not correct, comment it with your peer and send the exercise back for revision.
Is the exercise correct, validate it. This exercise then goes to your "Exercises / Validated" - box.
6 Revise
When another member of the Sangakoo community picks one of your exercises up and sends it back to you with corrections, you should revise it and make the necessary changes so your peer can validate it.
Sometimes it can be necessary to repeat this process several times before agreeing, thus creating an interaction between the two of you.
You can make changes to the statement, the development and the solution of the exercise in question.
Check your "Exercises / Inbox" to see if you have exercises sent back for revision.
You can repeat this process as often as you want, and in all the Sangakoo contents.
You decide if you want to change the topic, move to a different level or continue. Adapt the Sangakoo method to your needs!
